At geannhomegarden, limited stocks of growing guava-apples are available.

Do you know that guavas are fast growing? Fruiting is in 2-3 years after planting the seed. Easy propagation of guavas can be made thru marcotting and root cuttings. Ripe fruits are eaten fresh or can be stewed for use in jam, pies and juice. We used guava leaves medicinally for diarrhoea.

Grow guavas in your backyard and enjoy the goodness of drinking natural guava juice.

Here’s my simple recipe.

Ingredients: 30 grams of ripe guava, 200 ml boiled water, 15 grams syrup, 2/5 teaspoon of salt

Procedure: Cut the guava into small pieces. Blend guava in a small blender, add some boiled water and pour through a sieve. Depending on your taste, add salt or syrup in the juice as needed.
